Features

1. Globe valve features a simple structure, with convenient manufacturing and maintenance.

2. The sealing surface is resistant to wear and scratch, delivering excellent sealing performance. During opening and closing, there is no relative sliding between the disc and body sealing surface, resulting in minimal abrasion, reliable tightness and long service life.

3. It requires a short opening/closing stroke. Compared with gate valves, it has a smaller overall height but a longer structural length.

4. High opening and closing torque. It requires greater force to operate, with a longer switching time.

5. High fluid resistance. Due to the tortuous internal flow passage, it creates large flow resistance and high power consumption.

6. Flow direction requirement:

- When nominal pressure PN ≤ 1.6MPa: Normally installed in forward flow, medium flows upward from below the disc

- When nominal pressure PN ≥ 2.0MPa: Normally installed in reverse flow, medium flows downward from above the disc for enhanced sealing performance

- Note: Globe valve allows medium flow in only one single direction, and cannot reverse the flow direction during operation

7. The valve stem suffers no impact when fully open.

The matching design of valve stem and disc creates a short relative travel and excellent shut-off performance, making this valve ideal for medium cut-off and throttling regulation services.

Disadvantages

1. Large fluid resistance, requiring high operating force for opening and closing actions.
