Product Introduction

A vertical check valve is an automatic valve that opens and closes relying on medium flow to prevent backflow. Also known as non-return valve, one-way valve, reflux valve or retention valve.

As a type of automatic valve, its core function is to block medium reverse flow, protect equipment and prevent motor reverse rotation, as well as medium discharge. It is also widely installed on pipeline branches of pressure boosting auxiliary systems to avoid overpressure in equipment.

Check valves are mainly divided into swing check valves (rotating around a hinge point) and lift check valves (moving along the axis).

When fluid flows forward, it pushes the disc open; when flow reverses, the combined force of fluid pressure and disc self-weight presses the disc tightly against the seat to shut off flow completely.

 Product Type Features

1. Swing Check Valve

It features a hinge chain structure. The disc swings freely like a door against the inclined sealing surface. The hinge design ensures sufficient swing stroke for full and reliable seating.

Discs can be manufactured from full metal, or fitted with leather, rubber or soft overlay sealing surface, customized according to working condition requirements. When fully open, fluid resistance is extremely low, with minimal pressure loss across the valve.

2. Lift Check Valve

The lift check valve disc sits on the valve body sealing surface. Under forward fluid pressure, the disc is lifted upwards; once pressure drops or flow reverses, the disc resets back onto the seat to block backflow.

Disc structure can be all-metal construction, or with rubber/plastic sealing facing. Compared with swing type, the flow passage of lift check valves is narrower, resulting in larger pressure drop and limited rated flow capacity.
